About
ASAF
The
Allied Sportsmen's Associations of Florida, Inc.(ASAF), was
formed to represent the collective voice of Florida's sporting
organizations and to serve as a link to the Florida Legislators'
Sportsmen's Caucus, which we were instrumental in forming
during the 2003 Regular Session of the Florida Legislature.
As
sportsmen, our mission in working with the Sportsmen's Caucus
is to expose members of the Florida Legislature to what we
do, to help legislators understand the sporting life and our
issues, and finally, to gain the acceptance of legislators
for the conservation ethics and commitment to this state's
natural resources that sportsmen embody. Through the Association's
programs and events, legislators have a greater knowledge,
appreciation and understanding of our sporting traditions.
We
also work extensively with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission, commenting on matters of importance to our members
and working with staff and the Commission to seek solutions
to concerns or to pursue opportunities that are to the mutual
benefit of all involved.
